ECEGSA Meeting Minutes – November 25, 2014

Christmas
- cider and hot chocolate, cookies, candy canes
- 5 – 5:30 arrive
- 5:30 food arrives, eat until 6 ish
- 6 to 7 trivia – winners get Christmasy prizes
- 7 – 8 karaoke (need microphone, also need to look into music)
- door prizes: starbucks gift card (1 x $15)
- photographer – volunteer, gets Christmasy gift
- shopping Monday, Dec 1
- Michelle to send email this week
- for numbers, check event summary from previous years
Movie Night
- 5-8 pm Dec 11
- Shreya to create poll, email to go out after Christmas party
- snacks (popcorn, chips, pop, not pizza)
- put on facebook page (Shreya)
VP Academic
- 4 replies, will send an email to let them know that we will have to have an election if multiple people are interested
- election Dec 11, if we have to have one
Sports
- registered as a “staff” team for volleyball, should be ok
Networking Night
- add list of previous companies that have attended (Michelle)
- panel: Philip Kruschen probably not available, BME head might work for moderator, still need to contact panelists
- strategies for if we don’t have enough companies: re-contact companies and offer discount (e.g., 50% for one single week), approach non-companies (APEGBC, IEEE, business associations), approach professors, etc
- made a volunteer structure, included about 20 volunteers
- Michelle to write up draft email, have it ready to send for early January
Other
- Michelle will be on an internship Jan to Apr
- Tanzil will pass off money stuff while he’s gone
