ECEGSA Meeting Minutes – June 17, 2014
Location: Kaiser 4037
Time: 5:00pm-6:30pm
Attendance: Ahmed, Michelle, Tanzil, Humyun, Naveen, Felix

Meeting Minutes from last meeting: Approved
Barbeque:
– can consider buying things ourselves or using Campus Catering – we’ll buy ourselves
– Ahmed will send an email tonight with an RSVP link
– groceries will be bought Wednesday night or Thursday morning (Ahmed, Tanzil and maybe others)
– Naveen will find out how to ge the grills
– we’ll have veggie, beef, chicken and Halal burgers
– cooking will be done by Tanzil, Michelle and Felix
– Naveen will deal with the money
– need one person helping with veggies, etc (probably Ahmed)
– start cooking about an hour early – Naveen will ask previous exec for advice on this
– leftovers will be saved for later, if any
– location will be either back of Kaiser or by the E-cairn (Ahmed will ask about the construction behind Kaiser)
– picture taking responsibilities will be shared among the members
Department meeting:
– just an introduction
– set a budget meeting date then
– other events will likely not be until after the meeting
Future:
– potentially try to do a $5 Whistler trip in August
Budget:
– include Neworking Night or no? – Tanzil will check
Volleyball net:
– consider checking with Amin how they had it working last year
– let the Wednesday volleyball group keep the net for now unless someone else needs it
– won’t be buying a new volleyball net for now
Survey:
– 33 responses so far

Networking night:
– consider making a timeline of thing we’ll need to do
– waiting on meeting with Ali to discuss it
